Thackeray Road
While the street view remained unchanged, the rear of the house was removed and all interior spaces reconfigured. Viewed from the backyard the second floor was detailed like a large dormer so that the first and basement floors remained in scale. High ceilings inside were created by lowering both the floor in the living space and basement below. Extensive landscaping completed the connection to the rear yard that the client was trying to achieve.
